Modern Mercy is the successor to failure.

Before Modern Mercy, there was NVRBRTH. a clothing brand that took six months to build and less than a day to fall apart.

Release day became its final day.

After investing so much time into something only to watch it end at the exact moment it was supposed to begin, stepping away felt inevitable. For a long time, there was no intention of starting another clothing brand.

But time has a way of changing perspective.

What initially felt like six months wasted eventually became six months of lessons, an opportunity to understand what went wrong, what could have been done differently, and what was worth carrying forward.

Modern Mercy was born from those lessons.

Perhaps the name says it best. Modern Mercy feels, in some small way, like the world showing a little mercy after what came before, a second chance to create something with greater patience, experience and purpose.

But this isn't an attempt to erase NVRBRTH.

It is part of the history of Modern Mercy and always will be. Pieces from that era may occasionally return as an homage to where this began, preserved rather than forgotten, and carried forward into something new.

Modern Mercy exists to build on what came before without being defined by it. To create clothing with an identity of its own, while allowing that identity to evolve naturally with every piece and every release.

NVRBRTH was the beginning.

Its failure created the opportunity to start again.

Modern Mercy is what came next.
